 Bubbles and Paws
PET HEALTH:
Please confirm that, when your dog comes for each appointment, your dog is microchipped, fit and healthy, up to date with vaccinations/treatments/ free from parasite infestations e.g. ticks/fleas and disclose if your dog exhibits any unpredictable or aggressive behaviour. Please inform me if you think your dog is matted.

Owners must disclose all current and on-going health issues at the time of consultation and always inform me with any new concerns at point of drop off.
​
I do not groom pregnant dogs or bitches that are in season or if your dog has had any recent surgery or has any opened wounds that have not healed. Grooming of sick or elderly dogs is entirely at owner’s risk.
​
The grooming process may expose unknown medical conditions or aggravate a current one during or after the groom. Therefore, the owner agrees that Bubbles and Paws will not be held liable for any patchiness, thinning hair or hair loss due to grooming, shaving, de-matting or stripping.
​
In the unlikely event of a medical emergency, and I am unable to contact the owner, you give Bubbles and Paws permission to seek emergency treatment by contacting a vet if deemed necessary for whatever reason. All medical expenses are the responsibility of the owner.

BEFORE YOUR DOG’S GROOM:
Prior to grooming, please ensure your dog is walked, exercised and toileted. I also advise that you don’t feed your dog 30 minutes before their scheduled grooming appointment. I will make sure your dog always has access to fresh drinking water whilst they are with me.

Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment time, as I may have a dog on the table which I am unable to leave unattended.
When you arrive, your dog must be on a lead, and I will come out to the driveway to greet you at your appointment time. When you pick up your dog, please text you have arrived, and I will come and meet you.

LATE DROP OFF/ COLLECTION:
Please contact me as soon as possible to notify me you will be late dropping and collecting your dog. However, if you are more than 30 minutes late you will be charged a late fee of £10.

When you drop off your dog, I will give you an estimated time for collection but, if this changes, you will be contacted. Your appointment may be subject to cancellation if there isn't enough time to complete the booked service. In such cases, you will be charged full price for the services you booked.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
I understand that circumstances can change but if you cancel and give more than 48 hours’ notice there is NO Charge. If less than 48 hours’ notice is given, a charge of 50% of ALL services booked will apply. Booking fee is not refundable (Please refer to Booking Fee section below ).

In the unlikely event that Bubbles and Paws needs to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you will be promptly informed. I will offer you priority booking for a rescheduled appointment or a full refund of your booking fee.

NON-ATTENDANCE:
If you do not attend your appointment, you will be charged the FULL cost of services booked. Fees will need to be paid before any future appointment can be booked.

BOOKING FEE:
Customers are required to pay a booking fee of £20 at the time of booking their dog in for an appointment which will be deducted from the total owed at pick up.
​
You the owner, agrees that this booking fee will be non-refundable if an appointment is cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice or if an appointment is missed.
​
If you provide me with more than 48 hours’ notice for cancellation, then I can then carry over your booking fee to your next appointment.
​

PRICING:
Pricing is based on breed, hair length, coat condition, temperament, age, and grooming history.
​
Please be advised an extra charge may apply if your dog is matted, requires extra bathing, has fleas, exhibits difficult or aggressive behaviour, or has not been groomed within the recommended grooming schedule for their breed.​ Please be aware that the price stated is subject to change if more time is required.
Puppy Pamper prices are only applicable to dogs under 6 months of age. Please contact me for breed specific prices.

NOISE NUISANCE:
Unfortunately, I do not accept dogs that constantly bark or very noisy dogs as I am situated in a residential area.

PARASITES/ TICKS/FLEAS:
I have the right to refuse dogs that are presented with parasite infestations at drop off.
If I do come across any fleas on your dog during the appointment, an additional fee of £10 will be added to any booked services due to using flea shampoo and disinfecting my salon before grooming the next dog.
I will not under any circumstances attempt to remove ticks myself.

BEHAVIOUR/ AGGRESSIVE DOGS:
I reserve the right to terminate the appointment at any point if your dog shows any aggressive tendencies. You will be charged and agree to pay the FULL price of the booked services.
​
If I feel it is necessary for the safety of myself a Muzzle may be used. Please be reassured that using a Muzzle will not harm your dog and is simply a way to keep both the groomer and your dog safe. A reasonable fee will be charged if extra time is needed.
​
Please acknowledge that Bubbles and Paws may not be able to achieve the owners desired style with continuing difficult behaviour.
​

MATTING:
It may not be possible to achieve the desired style as a matted coat may result in having to clip/shave your dog's coat short.
​
In accordance with the Animal Welfare Act, I will not spend more than 15 minutes de-matting. Matting can cover; underlying health conditions, parasites and can be very painful for your dog.
Therefore, clipping or shaving short may be the best option.
​
Where possible I will work to de-mat/brush any hair that may be salvaged but only under the strict condition that it is causing no pain or suffering to your dog. If I feel your dog may become stressed, I will not attempt to do so.
​
Your dog's skin is likely to become irritated during the process so a special fragrance-free shampoo will be used to help soothe any irritation. Your dog may act differently following the de-matting.
Unfortunately, cuts may occur during the process due to the closeness of the mats to the skin. De-matting is done by using a short blade to clip between the skin and the matted area. The owner is fully aware that injury can happen, but every care will be taken to try and prevent this.

An additional fee will occur on top of the grooming price. De-matting a dog takes caution to remove, resulting in an extended grooming session as well as damaging and blunting my equipment.

If a dog’s coat is matted, you the owner, acknowledges and agrees to release Bubbles and Paws from any liability for the process mentioned above along with all medical problems that may occur during the clipping process. Should a dog require veterinary care after or during the process, the owner agrees to pay all vet fees for the above-mentioned dog's care. The owner agrees to pay any de-matting fees that will apply.
Bubbles and Paws will not accept liability for any abrasions, cuts, sores, red irritated skin and hair loss after the grooming session.

PAYMENTS:
The balance is to be paid by cash, bank transfer or through the booking portal on collection of your dog. Prices are subject to change without prior notice.
​
GROOM FEEDBACK:
I do not offer refunds. However, if you are not happy with how I’ve groomed your dog or want it differently, please tell me immediately. I will endeavour to put right any changes and record them for the next appointment.
​
ACCIDENTS:
Although extremely unlikely, accidents can happen during the grooming process. In the event of an accident or serious medical issue that arises during your dog's grooming session, you the owner authorises Bubbles and Paws to seek emergency veterinary treatment. You the owner, will be responsible for paying the costs of any veterinary treatment needed.

No liability will be accepted by Bubbles and Paws in the case of injury caused by matting, grooming, unpredictable or aggressive behaviour of your dog.
​
Whilst I take every safety measure extremely seriously, Bubbles and Paws can not accept any responsibility or liability in the case of any injury, illness or death of your dog whilst in my setting.
​
GENERAL:
• No liability will be accepted by Bubbles and Paws when any health problem is uncovered or aggravated by any part of the grooming process.
• I have the right to refuse dogs that are presented with parasite infestations and may incur additional charges.
• Owners must accept that if extensive extra work is needed due the coat condition, this will be charged accordingly depending on how much extra time is required.
• At Bubbles and Paws I practice humanity over vanity and reserve the right to stop the grooming process at any time with payment in full being due on collection of your dog.
• Your dog may be photographed and filmed before, during and after its groom and used on my website and social media along with their name and breed. Please let me know if you object to this.
• I’m unable to groom any dog registered under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 and/or the Dangerous Dogs (Amendment) Act 1997.
